Avelyn Kring truly exemplifies what it means to be a Special Olympian. Whether she’s sprinting up and down the basketball court, tossing a bocce ball with precision, or driving to the net in floorball, Avelyn always gives her best effort, shows impressive skill, and never gives up.
Her love of sport is matched by her spirit. Avelyn is quick to cheer on her teammates and welcome new athletes, demonstrating true sportsmanship at every practice and competition. She also participates in several RMSS sports and excels in cross-country running.
Beyond school, Avelyn gives back to the local South Porcupine–Timmins community by volunteering with the Special Olympics FUNdamental program, which helps younger children get involved in sport and build confidence through play and movement.
Thank you, Avelyn, for showing what persistence, teamwork, and kindness look like in action. You make RMSS and our community proud!
