Roland Michener Secondary School is proudly named after Canada's 20th Governor General, His Excellency the Right Honourable Roland Michener. He was a remarkable individual who excelled in many fields—as a scholar, athlete, and politician.
During his time as Governor General, Mr. Michener inspired Canadians of all ages to pursue academic excellence, work to improve their communities, and lead healthy, active lives. His commitment to these ideals perfectly embodies our school's motto: Sors Tua in Manibus Tuis. This powerful Latin phrase translates to “Your Destiny is in Your Hands”.
