Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  
This day recognizes the ongoing and continuing impacts of the residential school system in Canada. It honours the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, their families, and their communities.

In 2018, Rowan's Law came into effect in Ontario in honour of Rowan Stringer, who passed away as the result of multiple concussions.
